Al-Alemi: Kuwait supports Yemen's security and stability

Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Falah Al-Mutairi, presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Yemeni Presidential Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi yesterday (Thursday).
In a statement to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Mutairi said he conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister. He conveyed their best wishes for good health and happiness to Chairman Al-Alimi, and for peace, prosperity, and development to the Republic of Yemen and its brotherly people.
He praised the deep historical fraternal relations between Kuwait and the Republic of Yemen, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening cooperation and ties between the two countries across various political, economic, developmental, and humanitarian fields, in a manner that serves the shared interests of both nations and their brotherly peoples.
He affirmed that Kuwait supports Yemen’s security, unity, and stability, and backs all efforts and initiatives aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement and achieving peace in accordance with locally agreed frameworks, which are supported regionally and internationally. These include the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216.
For his part, Chairman Al-Alimi conveyed sincere greetings to His Highness the Amir, the Crown Prince, and the Prime Minister, along with their best wishes for good health and well-being, and for Kuwait and its people to enjoy continued security, prosperity, and development under their wise leadership.
He reaffirmed Yemen’s firm and principled stance condemning Iranian aggressive attacks on Kuwait and its vital civilian and economic facilities, describing them as an infringement on Kuwait’s sovereignty and on Arab national security. He stressed Yemen’s solidarity and unwavering support for Kuwait and its leadership in safeguarding its security and sovereignty and defending its interests.
He praised the strength of the historic fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, as well as Kuwait’s support for Yemen’s unity, security, and stability, and its valued contributions in supporting the Yemeni people in political, economic, and humanitarian fields amid the current circumstances.
He affirmed the commitment of the Presidential Council and the Yemeni government to providing facilitations to the Kuwaiti Ambassador to ensure the success of his mission in enhancing and developing relations between the two brotherly countries and serving their shared interests.
