Security campaign in cooperation with the Food Authority and Municipality: 6 properties used for unauthorized commercial activities seized

As part of joint security efforts to strengthen law enforcement and protect society, the Directorate of Security Directorates Affairs, represented by the Capital Governorate Security Directorate, carried out a security campaign in cooperation with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and the Kuwait Municipality, targeting residences used to operate illegal grocery stores. The campaign followed observations by support patrols of the Capital Governorate Security Directorate during their field operations, which identified several residences suspected of being used to run illegal grocery businesses. Immediate coordination was established with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and the Kuwait Municipality, all legal procedures were completed, and the necessary permits were obtained to commence inspection operations.
The campaign resulted in the seizure of six residences being used for unlicensed commercial activities, the apprehension of 11 individuals in violation of labor laws, and the confiscation of two trucks used to distribute food and consumer goods to those residences. Additionally, a motorcycle wanted in connection with a theft case was seized. The Kuwait Municipality confiscated two motorcycles found in violation of regulations. Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition issued 26 violation notices against the seized sites. The violators were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.
