«Affairs»: 33 shops for investment in «Mutlaa Cooperative» next week
Faisal Matar: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Ajmi, announced the opening of Al-Mutla’ Cooperative Society’s market in District N8 on August 27. Thirty-three investment shops will be offered, in a move aimed at completing the cooperative and service system in the city of Al-Mutla’, providing essential services to residents, and keeping pace with the city’s population growth.
This announcement came during a field visit conducted by Al-Ajmi to the market to review progress percentages, follow up on final works and technical and service preparations, and assess its readiness for opening according to the specified schedule.
Al-Ajmi emphasized that field monitoring allows for assessing the actual implementation status of projects, identifying observations and challenges, and addressing them, thereby ensuring adherence to timelines and confirming the readiness of facilities before they are put into operation. He clarified that the market’s opening represents a new phase within the Ministry’s plan to complete the facilities of Al-Mutla’ Cooperative Society, providing a system of cooperative and consumer services that meet residents’ needs and keep pace with the city’s urban expansion.
He added that the tender for the investment of 33 shops will be launched next week, in accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Decision No. 46 of 2021, which regulates the investment of cooperative society branches, ensuring transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity among applicants.
He noted that the Ministry monitors all tendering procedures from the perspective of its supervisory and oversight role, ensuring the integrity of procedures and the proper utilization of investment facilities, and delivering services that meet the needs of Al-Mutla’ city residents.
He pointed out that launching the shops concurrently with the market’s opening will help accelerate the operation of cooperative and service activities, enable investors to commence their operations, and enhance the society’s readiness to serve the residents of the area.
Al-Ajmi reaffirmed that the Ministry of Social Affairs is continuing to complete projects within its jurisdiction in Al-Mutla’ city, primarily the facilities of the cooperative society, in line with citizens’ aspirations and to provide them with essential services.
