Egypt: Fire on two ships at Damietta Port yesterday caused by drone attack

The Egyptian Cabinet announced on Thursday that preliminary investigations revealed a drone caused a fire aboard two ships at the Port of Damietta yesterday. The Cabinet stated, “Following the containment of the fire that affected two ships at the Port of Damietta on July 29, 2026, and after relevant authorities conducted preliminary investigations into the incident, it was determined that the cause was a drone. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.”
