Peruvian Ambassador: Strengthening Cooperation with Kuwait in Energy and Food Security

Maysa Al-Sukari: Carlos Jimenez, the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to Kuwait, affirmed that relations between Kuwait and his country continue to grow at an accelerated pace in many vital areas, particularly economic ones, pointing to the depth of friendship and a shared vision based on dialogue and cooperation. This came during the celebration of his country’s 205th Independence Day, attended by Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Americas, Minister Plenipotentiary Abdulaziz Al-Qadfan, and several heads of diplomatic missions.

The Peruvian ambassador explained that there are significant opportunities to enhance cooperation between the two countries in sectors such as infrastructure, food security, mining, renewable energy, logistics, tourism, education, healthcare, and digital technologies, emphasizing his country’s welcome for Kuwaiti investors as partners in the journey of sustainable development. He also confirmed the readiness of Peruvian exporters to expand their presence in the Kuwaiti market by offering products characterized by quality, sustainability, and innovation, including agricultural products, coffee, fishery products, textiles, clothing, and manufactured foods, thereby contributing to building long-term commercial partnerships that yield mutual benefits for both countries.
