Every crime has a thread that leads investigators to its discovery

This crime provides a clear example of that principle. A man who had a strained relationship with his wife wanted to kill her and get rid of her, far from his homeland. He chose Turkey to carry out his crime, as he was well acquainted with its tourist cities, and specifically selected a mountainous town for the act. On the day he executed his plan, he took her to that mountainous tourist destination and climbed with her to a restaurant at the summit. Before reaching the restaurant, he pushed her off the cliff; she fell to the bottom, her body shattered, and she died instantly.

Turkish authorities’ initial investigation concluded that her death was an act of fate, caused by her slipping. The husband returned to his country, and his wife was buried in Turkey. However, her family suspected foul play and reopened the investigation in their own country. Investigators discovered that the husband had purchased only a one-way ticket for himself, not a round-trip ticket for his wife. When investigators confronted him with this fact, he was caught off guard, as it had slipped his mind. This seemingly minor detail became the crucial thread that led investigators to the truth. Confronted with this evidence, he confessed to the crime and was subsequently sentenced to death.

We always maintain that every crime typically leaves a clue that leads investigators to the truth. While some crimes may take a long time to uncover, the perpetrators are eventually brought to justice. No matter how much time passes, no criminal can escape punishment for their crime.
