Al-Badawi: GCC countries stand united with Saudi Arabia

Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his condemnation and strongest rejection of the continued terrorist attacks by Iran-aligned militias in Iraq against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that these hostile acts constitute a serious escalation and a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, posing a direct threat to its security and stability, as well as to regional security and peace. He reaffirmed the GCC states’ unified stance in standing alongside the Kingdom, and their full support for all measures it takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He stressed that the continuation of these terrorist attacks poses a direct threat to regional peace and security, and undermines international efforts aimed at de-escalation and consolidating security and stability.
