Axios: Iran launched ballistic missiles toward a US base in Jordan

Axios cited a U.S. official as saying that Iran launched ballistic missiles toward a U.S. base in Jordan. The U.S. official stated that the ballistic missiles launched by Iran toward the U.S. base in Jordan were intercepted. This comes as U.S. President Donald Trump announced that negotiations should be given a chance to reach understandings with Tehran regarding the Strait of Hormuz and to reach an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command announced earlier that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard had launched several ballistic missiles in a surprise attack against U.S. forces in the Middle East. U.S. Central Command stated that all Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted. It added: “Our forces in the Middle East are on maximum readiness.”
