“Al-Tamuh” Honors Volunteer Doctors in the Special Olympics Health Program

The Kuwaiti Al-Tamouh Sports Club for People with Intellectual Disabilities honored a number of volunteer physicians from the health program affiliated with Special Olympics Kuwait, in recognition of their efforts in providing medical services to athletes through foot health, eye health, physiotherapy, and ear, nose, and throat programs.

Rahab Boursali, National Director of Special Olympics Kuwait, emphasized that the honored physicians had set an exemplary model of volunteerism by dedicating their time and expertise to serve Special Olympics athletes, opening their clinics to welcome athletes affiliated with various schools, institutions, centers, and associations with great love and dedication.

Boursali added that the award ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, which hosts Al-Tamouh Club, and under the patronage of Sheikhah Sheikha Abdullah Al-Sabah, was a tribute to these physicians’ contributions and a gesture of gratitude for their ongoing efforts.

She noted that Sheikhah Al-Hindi, an athlete from Al-Tamouh Club and Special Olympics Kuwait, as well as a Health Ambassador, delivered a speech expressing the athletes’ gratitude to the physicians and highlighting their consistent commitment to monitoring the health and physical fitness of athletes, alongside their focus on younger athletes through specialized health programs.
