The Central Agency Launches an Electronic Platform for Those Previously Subject to Article 5 of the Nationality Law

The Central Agency for Regulating the Status of Illegal Residents announced the launch of an electronic platform for owners of cases whose citizenship was revoked under the former Article Five campaign, which includes: prominent business owners, children of Kuwaiti women, and holders of the 1965 census. In a statement, the agency said the platform aims to complete the prescribed procedures for obtaining an official “To Whom It May Concern” certificate for cases that have not previously applied, through the electronic platform. The agency indicated that the required documents and papers are a copy of the civil ID card, and if the person concerned is deceased, a copy of the death certificate should be attached. The agency clarified that applications are accepted only and exclusively in the name of the person concerned whose revocation decree was issued in his name, and it is not necessary to submit separate applications for each dependent. If the person whose name appears on the decree is deceased, his relatives should apply through the electronic platform in the name and with the details of the deceased person directly. The agency said that, given that the agency’s website is not linked to the Sahel app, applicants should download the certificate immediately upon its issuance from the website, and then manually upload it to the Sahel app to complete the remaining procedures. It also noted that “in case of any system malfunction or technical error during the application process, applicants should refer to the Status Adjustment Department at the Central Agency for Regulating the Status of Illegal Residents, located in the Shuwaikh – As-Sabbar area.”
