"The General" Begins His Mission in Command of Al-Ahly, While Al-Abyad Focuses on Physical Conditioning

Kuwaiti national coach Mohammed Ibrahim, the head coach of Al-Qadsia’s first football team, arrived in Turkey yesterday evening. Ibrahim, who took charge starting from the current season replacing Tunisian Nabil Maâloul, began his duties today by leading the “Yellow” team in daily training sessions alongside his assistants, Kuwaiti national coach Saleh Al-Sheikh and Serbian Goran Matković, as well as the rest of the coaching staff, as part of preparations for the new season. The Yellow team aims to achieve the required readiness during the preparation period and the current training camp, particularly given the desire to return strongly and compete seriously for titles in the new season, both domestically and in the AFC Challenge League, in which the team is participating this season.
With all Al-Qadsia players present at the camp under the leadership of star player Bader Al-Mutawa and all other squad members, both local and foreign players, Ibrahim and the technical staff are looking to finalize the friendly matches the team will play during the current camp before returning to enter the competitive atmosphere of the Premier League.
Al-Ahly focuses on physical loads: At the current training camp of Al-Kuwait Club in the British capital, London, Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos is focusing on implementing all details related to preparing his players and maximizing the benefits of the current camp. This is being done by emphasizing physical training sessions, particularly the morning training where players engage in strength and weightlifting exercises in the dedicated gym hall, in addition to applying tactical plans during the evening training, which includes recreational ball drills to prevent monotony among the players.
Faisal Zayed, a player for Al-Ahly, joined the team’s delegation in London yesterday, having missed the start of the camp a few days earlier due to undergoing a rehabilitation program at Aspetar clinics in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Al-Arabi played their second friendly match: The Al-Arabi Club team played their second trial match today as part of their current training camp in Turkey, in preparation for the new season, under the leadership of Croatian coach Goran Šubelić and his staff. The “Green” team faced Erdemspor in their first friendly match there, which ended with a 3-1 victory for Erdemspor. The second match was played yesterday against Van Sport, with Al-Arabi aiming to play four or more matches during the current camp.
