Kuwait condemns attacks by Iran-backed militias in Iraq on Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and strongest denunciation of the attacks that attempted to target oil facilities in the Eastern and Riyadh regions of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, carried out by drones launched by Iran-backed militias in Iraq. These attacks constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a breach of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817. The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its security and sovereignty, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
