Chinese Ambassador to Al-Qabas: Joint Ammunition Factory in Kuwait Proceeding Well

Mi Al-Sukkar – Yang Xin, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kuwait, confirmed that the joint ammunition factory project between the two countries is progressing well, noting that the project represents a significant milestone in the trajectory of Kuwait-China cooperation, given its strategic value in bolstering industrial and technological capabilities linked to the defense industry sector.
In a special statement to Al-Qabas, the Chinese ambassador said the project is receiving considerable attention, affirming that work on it is proceeding normally. He added, “Everything is going well, and this factory is the largest and most important in this sector.”
He emphasized that the project’s significance extends beyond its scale, reflecting the advanced level of Kuwait-China cooperation in implementing joint projects and embodying the mutual trust between the two countries and their desire to strengthen long-term partnerships in areas of shared interest, thereby serving the common interests of both sides.
He clarified that the joint ammunition factory is among the most prominent Kuwait-China cooperation projects, representing a qualitative addition to enhancing manufacturing capabilities and transferring modern expertise and technologies, in line with both sides’ aspirations to deepen cooperation across various fields.
He further noted that the project is being closely monitored and followed by the relevant authorities, expressing confidence in the continuation of bilateral cooperation to implement additional projects that will strengthen Kuwait-China relations.
