Call to raise service levels in Al-Asbitat areas

Kuwait Municipality Council member Abdullah Al-Anazi emphasized the need to enhance service levels in all areas of the stables. Al-Anazi stated that he conducted a field visit to the Jahra stables, where he found deficiencies in general cleanliness, accumulation of waste in certain locations, and deterioration of internal roads. He noted that, according to the cleaning contracts in place, the Municipality is not responsible for cleaning operations within the walls of the stables at their various sites. This situation necessitates identifying the causes of these observations, assigning responsibility to the relevant authorities, and working to address them in the public interest.

Al-Anazi questioned the scope of the Municipality’s jurisdiction regarding general cleanliness and environmental supervision in the stables areas. He asked what measures are taken when waste accumulation or practices affecting cleanliness or the environment are detected in these areas. He also inquired about the coordination mechanism between the Municipality and the Public Authority for Youth and Sports concerning the monitoring of general cleanliness, environmental protection, and addressing observations noted in the stables areas. Furthermore, he asked whether there is a comprehensive plan to address cleanliness conditions and maintain infrastructure in the stables areas, including internal roads. Finally, he sought to know what proposals or measures the Municipality deems necessary to adopt, in coordination with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports and other relevant entities, to address the identified shortcomings.
