Iran: Message exchange with the US ongoing, mediators carrying out their mission

The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed the ongoing exchange of messages with the United States, noting that intermediaries continue to play their role in conveying messages between the two sides. The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Tehran remains committed to what it termed “genuine diplomacy” and dialogue to reach solutions to crises, emphasizing that diplomatic channels remain open despite existing differences between the two countries. The ministry also highlighted Iran’s commitment to ensuring freedom of navigation for ships in the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the world’s most important maritime passages for energy transport. In response, Tehran affirmed that it would not allow the United States to impose what it described as dominance over waterways in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, a stance reflecting the ongoing disagreements between the two sides regarding navigation security and regional arrangements.
