His Highness the Amir of Kuwait receives a call from the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

His Highness the Amir of the State, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him, received a telephone call this evening from Andy Burnham, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, in his capacity as the Amir’s friend. The call was made on the occasion of his appointment by His Majesty King Charles III, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to form a government. During the call, the longstanding relations between the two countries and their friendly peoples were reviewed, along with a number of issues of mutual interest and the latest developments on the regional and international scenes, particularly regarding the current circumstances facing the region, with an exchange of views on these matters. His Excellency also emphasized, at the same time, the United Kingdom’s steadfast support for the State of Kuwait and its friendly people, and its backing of all measures aimed at safeguarding Kuwait’s sovereignty and security and preserving its stability.
