Al-Qadsia closes in on Mauritanian player Ammar, continues training camp in Turkey

Al-Qadsieh Club’s football department has finalized the identity of the team’s fourth foreign professional player, reaching an agreement with Mauritanian midfielder Bouna Sidi Ammar, formerly of Libya’s Al-Ittihad and Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca. Ammar will join as an attacking midfielder for the upcoming season, with the club yet to officially announce the contract details and duration.
With this signing, Ammar joins the club’s other three foreign professionals: Nigerian Gabriel Orok, Moroccan Hamza Khabba, and Omani Abdulrahman Al-Mashfari. The quartet forms part of Al-Qadsieh’s “Yellow” reinforcements aimed at strengthening the attacking lines, whether in playmaking, striking, or wide positions. The club is now awaiting the confirmation of a fifth foreign professional to bolster the defensive line in the coming period.
Al-Qadsieh continues its daily training sessions at its current camp in Turkey, preparing for the new season. National coach Ibrahim Mohamed is expected to arrive within the next two days to take charge of training, which are currently being led by his Serbian assistant, Goran Matkovic, and the rest of the coaching staff.
Yesterday, Moroccan Hamza Khabba and Nigerian Gabriel Orok joined Al-Qadsieh’s training in Turkey, while Bouna Sidi Ammar is expected to join the team delegation. Omani Abdulrahman Al-Mashfari was present when the squad departed for Turkey.
Meanwhile, arrangements for Al-Qadsieh’s friendly matches at the training camp are ongoing. The administrative staff is seeking to organize four matches against teams of varying levels, aiming to achieve the desired cohesion among players, especially given the numerous signings made during the current transfer window, both with local players and by replacing all foreign professionals.
In a separate development, Al-Kuwait Club’s first football team arrived yesterday in London, the UK capital. The team held its daily training sessions the following day, split into morning and evening sessions, in preparation for upcoming fixtures. The team will play a trial match against Milton Keynes, a side promoted to English League One, which sits below the Championship. Arrangements are also being made for two additional matches, one of which could be against a team competing in the English Premier League.
