Egypt condemns the heinous Iranian attacks that targeted Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan

Egypt today, Friday, strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, describing them as a blatant violation of state sovereignty and a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability, in contravention of international law and the United Nations Charter. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement Egypt’s full solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, and its complete support for all measures they are taking to safeguard their security and stability, protect their sovereignty, and ensure the integrity of their territories. The statement reiterated Egypt’s unequivocal rejection of attacks on civilian facilities and vital infrastructure, as well as any actions that could threaten civilian safety or undermine regional security and stability. Egypt stressed the necessity of respecting state sovereignty, the principles of good neighborliness, and refraining from the use or threat of force, calling for an immediate halt to all aggressions and escalatory acts. In this context, it emphasized the importance of the UN Security Council fulfilling its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security, thereby ensuring the protection of regional security and stability and sparing the peoples of the region further tension and escalation.
