Under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs and Sports held today the National Honoring Ceremony for champions of the national teams, both male and female players, for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 sports seasons, at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre. His Highness the Prime Minister honored outstanding players from various Kuwaiti sports bodies, committees, federations, and clubs.
In a press statement after the ceremony, His Highness emphasized that the achievements attained by the champions of the national teams represent a source of pride and honor, reflecting the spirit of determination and perseverance displayed by Kuwaiti youth, and the exceptional efforts they make to represent their country and raise its name and flag at various international sporting arenas. He stated that this honoring ceremony is a tribute to the significant efforts exerted by players, as well as technical and administrative staff, which resulted in achievements that elevated the name of the State of Kuwait at regional and international sporting events. He affirmed that the government attaches great importance to Kuwaiti sports and is keen to provide a supportive environment that enables athletes to continue excelling and achieving more successes.
He added that investing in the nation’s young talents constitutes a fundamental pillar for building a promising future for sports in Kuwait, expressing his pride and honor in the achievements attained by Kuwaitis in securing these high rankings.

Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahmah, affirmed that the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, at the national honoring ceremony embody the political leadership’s interest in youth and athletes, and its commitment to supporting achievers. Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, Bashar Abdullah, affirmed that the ceremony reflects the state’s interest in recognizing sporting achievements and its commitment to consolidating a culture of excellence and honoring those who raised the name of the State of Kuwait at various arenas. He stated that the Authority continues to support athletes across all categories and provides a suitable environment that enables them to achieve more successes.
He added that the Authority works to enhance the spirit of competition among athletes, contributing to raising performance levels and reaching podium finishes at all regional and international events. He pointed out that the achievements of Kuwaiti athletes reflect the abundant talents and potential possessed by the State of Kuwait, which deserve support and care, expressing his confidence in the ability of Kuwaiti champions to continue their successes and raise the nation’s flag in various competitions.
