Saudi Arabia: Targeting of the vessel "Anselia" while sailing in the Red Sea

A senior official from the Saudi General Authority for Civil Aviation stated on Thursday that the vessel “Anceilia,” owned by a Saudi company, was targeted while sailing in the Red Sea, resulting in a fire at the ship’s bow. The official confirmed to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that all crew members were safe, and that relevant authorities had taken all necessary measures to secure the vessel and its crew, and to protect the marine environment. The official added that such attacks constitute a violation of international laws and customs that ensure the safety of commercial ships and their crews.
