"Al-Tayara" Finishes Fourth at the Conclusion of West Asia Championships

Our national men’s volleyball team concluded its participation in the West Asian Championship, finishing fourth in the overall standings after losing to the Iraqi national team in straight sets, 3-1, in the match to determine third and fourth place. The set scores were 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, and 25-18, in favor of Iraq. This was the final match for both teams in the tournament, which concluded with the final between Qatar and Oman. Oman won the final 3-0, claiming first place and the gold medal.
The national team began its campaign with a victory over Syria in the group stage, before losing to defending champions Qatar, which placed them second in their group. In the semi-final, the “Blue Team” faced Oman, who won in straight sets to advance to the final against Qatar.
Saudi Arabia finished fifth after defeating Syria, who placed sixth, and then Lebanon, who finished seventh and last.
