Committee to Amend the Regulations Governing the Exploitation of State-Owned Sports Facilities

A well-informed source told Al-Qabas that the Ministry of State for Youth and Sports Affairs has formed a committee to study amendments to the regulations governing the exploitation of state-owned land and sports facilities, issued under Decision No. 4 of 2022. The source stated that the formation of the committee aligns with the state’s strategic direction to activate investment in the sports sector and maximize non-oil revenues through the optimal utilization of state-owned assets and sports facilities.
On another front, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports, Bishr Abdullah, called for allocating a site for the Table Tennis Federation. In a letter addressed to the Municipality, Abdullah noted that the Kuwaiti Table Tennis Federation had requested the allocation of a dedicated site to conduct its activities, similar to other sports federations, as it is currently using facilities and infrastructure at the Al-Aradiyah Youth Center on a temporary basis. He expressed hope that a site with an area ranging between 6,000 and 10,000 square meters would be allocated to the federation, in accordance with the regulations and procedures governing such matters.
