Minister of Justice to Law Graduates: Uphold Integrity and Honesty in All Your Endeavors

Minister of Justice and Advisor Nasser Al-Sameet stressed the necessity of making concerted efforts, and of dedication and devotion in serving the nation, and achieving its renaissance and development across all fields. Advisor Al-Sameet, in a speech delivered during his patronage and attendance at the graduation ceremony for students of the Faculty of Law at Kuwait University for the academic year 2025–2026, stated: “Kuwait is entering an exceptional phase, which requires its sons and daughters to possess awareness and a sense of responsibility.” He advised the graduates of the Faculty of Law at Kuwait University to adhere to honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness in every position they hold, emphasizing that the law is not merely provisions to be memorized, but a behavior practiced and a principle translated into reality. He added that the state is striving in this phase to develop and update its legislative framework to keep pace with changes, and to enhance the competence of its institutions, noting, “You are an essential part of this phase, given your knowledge, ambition, and ability to contribute to building a more just and stable future.” Addressing the students, he said, “Your graduation today is not merely the end of an academic phase, but the beginning of a new path with diverse options and trajectories. Some of you will one day assume judicial positions, others will carry the message of the legal profession, some will pursue postgraduate studies, and others may find themselves not directly linked to law, yet your legal knowledge will remain the distinguishing mark that sets you apart and empowers you to think clearly and make sound decisions.” He expressed congratulations and best wishes to the graduating students on their graduation from the Faculty of Law, following a journey filled with diligence and hard work, and extended his thanks and appreciation to all members of the teaching staff for their efforts and contributions in educating and training students, as well as to parents for the genuine support they provided to their sons and daughters until they reached this bright moment. He prayed to God Almighty to grant them success and prosperity in their academic and professional lives, to make success their constant companion, and to protect Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, and to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security and stability.
