Defense Ministry: Detected and engaged ballistic missiles and hostile drones since dawn today

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, announced that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces detected, since dawn today, enemy ballistic missiles and drones within Kuwaiti airspace, which were intercepted and neutralized. He added that the reprehensible Iranian aggression resulted in the targeting of several facilities and camps belonging to the Kuwaiti Army by enemy drones, leading to injuries among several members of the Kuwaiti Land Force while carrying out their duties. The injured have received medical care and necessary treatment, and their health condition is stable. Additionally, several vital and civilian facilities were targeted, including one of the power stations and water desalination plants, which caused a fire and damage to several plant facilities and electricity generation units. Fragments also fell in various locations across the country, causing material damage, with no human casualties reported. The Kuwaiti Armed Forces reaffirmed their continued execution of their duties and responsibilities with high efficiency, under a state of constant readiness and preparedness, and by taking all necessary measures to protect the nation’s sovereignty, safeguard its security and stability, in coordination with the relevant authorities, ensuring the safety of citizens and residents.
