The Municipality approved designating three sites for supply centers

Al-Qabas learned that the Municipality approved the designation of three proposed sites for the Food Supply Centers project in the areas of Al-Raqqa, Jaber Al-Ali Block 8, and East Al-Jahra, with each site covering an area of 1,000 square meters. It also approved the allocation of parking areas measuring 1,000 square meters for the East Al-Jahra and Jaber Al-Ali sites, and 2,189 square meters for the East Al-Raqqa site. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry will assume responsibility for the management, supervision, and oversight of these centers, in compliance with the Council of Ministers’ decision. The Municipality stipulated adherence to the conditions set by the Sub-Committee for Utilities and Public Services, and authorized the relevant directorates to relocate and adjust the site’s dimensions and area, provided that the total does not exceed the designated area in case of conflict with existing infrastructure services or regulatory requirements, during the installation phase. The Municipality also approved the Ministry of Finance’s request to re-allocate sites belonging to the Kuwait Public Transport Company (Abdullah Port Garage, covering 20,000 square meters; Al-Naaim Scrap Yard, covering 40,681 square meters; and Al-Shuwaikh Garage, covering 67,279 square meters).
