Spain Devours the Roosters and Advances to the World Cup Final

Spain’s national football team has advanced to the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, defeating France in their semi-final clash, which ended with a clean 2-0 victory for the Matadors. Spain now awaits the winner of the other semi-final between Argentina and England, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday.

Spain secured their well-deserved win with a standout performance and dominant control from the outset. The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute of the first half when Spanish forward Mikel Oyarzabal scored from a penalty kick. The second goal for the Matadors arrived in the 58th minute of the second half through Pedro Porro.

France, the tournament’s strongest side, failed to deliver the required level under the leadership of their star player Kylian Mbappé. This was largely due to Spain’s organized defense, which pushed back the French lines and limited the threat posed by their potent attack featuring Michael Olise, Ousmane Dembélé, Mbappé, and Lamine Yamal.

Didier Deschamps’ substitutions in the second half, bringing on Desiré Doué and Manu Koni for Adrien Rabiot and Lamine Yamal, were not enough to secure an advantage or mount a comeback.
