Sheikha Moza Mourns the Late Emir: Pioneer of Modern Qatar and Architect of Its Glory

Sheikha Moza bint Nasser paid tribute to the late founding Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, with poignant words on her social media accounts, expressing profound sorrow at the passing of “Qatar’s historic leader.” She began her post by saying: “From grief, I draw the deepest inspiration; from sorrow, the most profound depth, at the passing of Qatar’s historic leader, His Highness the Founding Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, may God have mercy on him and grant him a good resting place.” Sheikha Moza highlighted the late Emir’s esteemed status in her tribute, adding, “In a moment of reverence to the divine will of God Almighty, in the decree of fate, the great leader ascends to an eternal rank as the pioneer of modern Qatar and the architect of its glory.” She concluded the tribute by supplicating to God Almighty, saying, “With a broken heart, I earnestly pray to God Almighty to envelop the departed in His mercy and grant him a spacious place in Paradise.”
