A Message to Every Graduate: Do Not Grieve
To every graduate holding their academic degree in their hands and looking at the future with anxiety, to every engineer, every doctor, every lawyer, every accountant, and to all graduating and prospective students approaching the pre-employment stage: this phase is difficult. It may be short or extend for months and even years, but it is a crucial stage in your lives. Recent university, institute, and college graduates may encounter the harsh reality of job scarcity in both the public and private sectors for various reasons. However, the future is bright, God willing. The state is preparing to launch and implement major development projects that will contribute to providing job opportunities for all of you.
Do not grieve if your employment is delayed, and do not assume that your years of study were in vain, because effort is never wasted. Life is not a race won by the first to arrive; rather, it is a long journey in which success belongs to those who persist and do not give up. All of us faced these same hardships and setbacks after graduation, but they were temporary periods. Life went on, and each of us carved out our own path. Graduation is not the end of the road, but the beginning of a new stage in your life that requires patience, continuous learning, skill-building, and gaining experience. You may see your friends who have already secured jobs ahead of you, but everyone has their own provision and the time God has decreed for them.
Do not let the search for a job halt or dismantle your life. Invest your time and leisure in self-improvement. Pursue new hobbies, start a small business, learn and acquire new skills, or volunteer for a cause. Every new experience enhances your value and opens new horizons. Remember that many business owners and entrepreneurs began their journeys with small steps, then built great futures for themselves and changed the world.
Trust in God first, then trust in yourself. Do not allow frustration to steal your hope, and do not compare your journey to that of others. What is destined for you will come to you in its due time. Perhaps God is delaying something beautiful for you. Continue striving and trying, and make each day a new opportunity to move forward, for true success is forged through diligence and perseverance. Every diligent person has their share, and everyone will receive what they strive for. God will open a door you thought, in your deep despair, was unopenable.
