"Loyak": Empowering Youth to Understand Local and International Laws
Loyak has announced the launch of its new Legal Clinic program in collaboration with Arkan Legal Training Academy, held at its new headquarters, Aisha School, which is equipped with the latest classrooms and facilities. The program will serve as an interactive platform for youth aged 13 to 18, running from August 8 to August 30, 2026.
The program aims to enhance legal awareness among young people and empower them to understand local and international laws through interactive workshops, group discussions, case studies, and role-playing exercises supervised by Loyak’s Performing Arts Academy (LAPA). This approach helps participants make informed and responsible decisions in their daily lives. The curriculum covers various topics, including an introduction to legal culture, cybercrime, bullying, theft, and drug abuse. The program concludes with a graduation ceremony that includes a performance by parents.
Fadia Al-Merzouq, Chairwoman of Loyak’s Board of Directors, stated that the Legal Clinic program represents a significant step in Loyak’s journey toward empowering youth with legal knowledge, raising their awareness in this field, and enhancing their role in building a conscious and responsible society. She expressed pride that the program is hosted at Loyak’s new headquarters, Aisha School, which has been outfitted with modern classrooms to provide a comprehensive educational environment.
She added, “We are proud to collaborate with three of Kuwait’s leading lawyers: Dr. Hussein Al-Abdullah, Founder and Principal Partner at Arkan International Legal Consultations; Dr. Faiz Al-Fadli, Administrative Partner and Chief Executive Officer; and Dr. Mohammed Bouzbar, First Advisor at Arkan and Professor of Criminal Law at the College of Law, Kuwait University. This collaboration ensures participants a rich educational experience that combines academic knowledge with practical expertise, alongside the artistic component provided by LAPA in the role-playing segment. This enhances communication skills, self-confidence, and deep understanding, as participants live the subject matter rather than merely listening. It also facilitates engagement with sensitive topics, as role-playing provides a safe environment to discuss and resolve social and ethical issues, making the program comprehensive and impactful in the lives of youth and their families.”
For his part, Dr. Faiz Al-Fadli, Chief Executive Officer of Arkan Legal Training, emphasized Arkan’s continued approach to raising legal culture and awareness, driven by its social responsibility. He noted that Arkan’s partnership with Loyak to launch the Legal Clinic program will contribute to raising legal awareness among young people. Al-Fadli explained that focusing the first edition of the Legal Clinic on youth stems from practical realities showing an increase in legal cases involving individuals aged 13 to 18.
Program Details:
The program will take place at Loyak’s new headquarters, Aisha School, from August 8 to August 30, 2026, on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in Arabic. There are 50 seats available, and the fee is 20 Kuwaiti Dinars (15 Dinars will be refunded upon successful completion of the program). Registration can be done via the Loyak app or the official Loyak website.
