The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) decided yesterday to award Kuwait Club the organization of the Asian Club League Champions Championship, which also serves as the qualifier for the World Club Championship (Super Globe), for the next three seasons: 2027, 2028, and 2029. In a press statement following a meeting of its Executive Board held at the federation’s headquarters in Kuwait, the AHF stated that it entrusted the hosting duties to Kuwait Club, a move reflecting strong confidence in the club and its capabilities, following its remarkable success in hosting the previous edition of the tournament.
Speaking to the media after chairing the meeting, AHF President Bader Al-Diab said that the distinctive organization and outstanding success achieved by Kuwait Club in the last edition were the main drivers behind entrusting it with the organization of the next three editions. Al-Diab explained that this step comes in recognition of the exceptional organizational efforts made by Kuwait Club and with the aim of achieving further successes, thereby contributing to the continued development of the championship and enhancing its status as the premier club competition in Asia, presenting it in a manner befitting its continental and international standing.
He praised Kuwait Club’s efforts, wishing it success in hosting the upcoming editions, as well as all participating Asian clubs. He reaffirmed that the AHF continues to work on providing the best organizational and technical conditions to ensure the success of its tournaments and activities, and to strengthen the presence of Asian handball on the international stage.
