Ministry of Commerce Introduces Establishment, Management, and Operation of Government Health Facilities

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a decision to introduce the activity of “establishing, managing, and operating government health facilities,” as part of the Unified Guide for Classifying Economic Activities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. According to the decision, the new activity was classified under the sector of human health and social work activities and related services. The decision designated the Ministry of Health, represented by the Health Licensing Department, as the regulatory authority for this new activity, which must be conducted within the limits prescribed by relevant regulations and requirements.
