Al-Wahib: Strengthening the Security System a Top Priority

Deputy Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Strategic Plan Formulation and Drafting Committee, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayb, participated in the strategic leadership meeting organized by the Ministry of Interior’s 2030 Strategic Plan Formulation Committee, “Deraa Al-Watan” (Shield of the Nation), with the participation of the Ministry’s General Directors. The event was held at the General Directorate of Information Systems’ auditorium, as part of completing the strategic plan preparation stages and enhancing the involvement of security leadership in shaping its future directions and objectives.

This meeting served to complete the data collection and situational diagnosis phase, which is a fundamental step in developing the strategic plan. It aimed to assess the current state of security and administrative operations, identify key challenges, needs, and opportunities for development, and leverage leadership expertise in formulating the Ministry’s strategic directions and objectives.

Major General Al-Wahayb commended the efforts of the General Directors and their dedication and loyalty in fulfilling their responsibilities, emphasizing their pivotal role in the strategic planning process as essential partners in its formulation, given their practical experience and direct knowledge of operations across various Ministry sectors. He stressed the necessity of coordinated efforts and teamwork to achieve a realistic and ambitious strategy that responds to security needs, keeps pace with future changes and challenges, and contributes to the development of the security operations system.

He affirmed that proactively delivering services to citizens and residents, enhancing institutional performance, and improving the efficiency of the security system are among the Ministry of Interior’s priorities.
