Washington – Agencies: Conservative American media personality Tucker Carlson warned yesterday that U.S. President Donald Trump might launch a nuclear strike against Iran under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a post on the X platform, Carlson wrote, “Under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be just days away from launching a nuclear strike against Iran.” Trump had previously announced in February that he had destroyed Iran’s nuclear program, but he threatened on Saturday to launch a new attack on Iran to destroy one or two sites, while Tehran vowed an “unrestricted” counterattack. Carlson added that the target of the potential U.S. strike would be “Mount Falak (in Isfahan Province) in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has reactivated its uranium enrichment program.” He stated, “No conventional weapon in the U.S. arsenal is capable of penetrating 300 feet of solid granite rock (at Mount Falak) to destroy the tunnels believed to house enrichment operations.” He continued, “Thus, the only available military option is to deliver a nuclear strike, and Netanyahu has exerted intense pressure to push for this option. According to one informed observer, Bibi (Netanyahu) calls Trump daily on this matter.” Carlson further noted that “Netanyahu has exerted maximum pressure on his closest allies within the U.S. administration, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Brad Cooper.” He clarified that “both oppose reaching a negotiated settlement to the war they have managed so disastrously, and are pushing to resume large-scale combat operations.” He added, “Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA Director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s line.”
