The Ministry of Interior has warned owners of plots under construction, chalets, jaiqars, and farms against employing or housing security guards who are in violation of residency and labor laws. It urged them to verify the legal residency status and legal standing of any guard before hiring them, to avoid legal liability. The ministry also stressed that guards must be sponsored by the property owner or the construction company, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. It emphasized the importance of confirming that individuals have no missing-person reports, court judgments, or security restrictions against them prior to employment, reiterating that violations of laws and regulations expose offenders to legal accountability.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Kuwait has called for cooperation and reporting of any information related to individuals or entities conducting unlicensed financial activities. It warned that such practices may pose a risk to funds and the stability of the country’s economy, and expose participants to financial risks. The bank clarified on its X (formerly Twitter) account that the activities requiring reporting include money transfers, provision of financial financing, and unlicensed electronic payment links.
