'The Whites' and Kazma Win in 'Volleyball'

Al-Salmiya embarrassed their Kuwaiti counterparts before losing to them 2-3 on Thursday in the third round of the final stage of the volleyball league, which resumed from last season. The round also saw Kazma defeat Al-Arabi 3-1. The Orange side moved to the top of the table with eight points, followed by Kuwait with five points, Qadsia with four points, Al-Salmiya with a single point, and Al-Arabi at the bottom without any points. Five clubs are competing in the final stage, which is played in a single-round league format, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals. The first-placed team will face the fourth-placed side, while the runner-up will meet the third-placed team, with the two winners progressing to the final.

Al-Arabi faced stiff resistance from Al-Salmiya from the first set, which Kuwait won 25-18. Al-Salmiya leveled the score by winning the second set 26-24, before Kuwait regained the lead in the third set, which they won comfortably 25-13. However, Al-Salmiya kept their hopes alive and won the fourth set 25-16, forcing a deciding fifth set, which Kuwait won in a tight contest 15-13.

In the second match, Kazma secured their third consecutive victory by defeating Al-Arabi 3-1 (25-11, 25-20, 23-25, 25-19).
