A series of artistic exhibitions showcasing the participating works in the Ibrahim Tahir Al-Baghl Award for the Filial Son competitions will be organized by the Ibrahim Tahir Al-Baghl Foundation for the Filial Son, in collaboration with the adjudication and evaluation committees for the 2026 award. These events will be held under the patronage and attendance of Ibrahim Al-Baghl, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ibrahim Tahir Al-Baghl Foundation for the Filial Son, as well as the heads and members of the adjudication teams and participants presenting their works in the various competitions within their respective fields. Also in attendance will be Ali Hassan, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Ibrahim Tahir Al-Baghl Award for the Filial Son; Mansour Al-Salamin, Chairman of the award’s adjudication committees; members of the 2026 adjudication teams for the Ibrahim Tahir Al-Baghl Award for the Filial Son; members of the associations and affiliated teams; a number of participants in the 2026 competition; and a number of activists and stakeholders interested in the fields of work of the Foundation and the competitions organized annually.
Al-Baghl clarified that the Foundation has coordinated with civil and charitable associations and teams to organize these artistic exhibitions as part of the procedures undertaken by the adjudication and evaluation committee for the 2026 competition entries. This committee comprises specialized experts in their respective fields. The adjudication committees will sort through the compliant entries for study and evaluation based on quality and excellence criteria, and assess certain aspects related to the evaluation and realism of the data submitted by participants. This constitutes an important stage in the evaluation and adjudication process prior to selecting the award winners. This step paves the way for identifying winning artists from individuals and civil society institutions, who will be honored alongside the winners of all award competitions and the filial sons of Kuwait for 2026 at the closing ceremony, which will be held under the patronage and attendance of Her Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs.
For his part, Ali Hassan affirmed that, based on what we have observed and witnessed from the participants’ outstanding work in the various award competitions—where they employed diverse traditional and modern achievements, materials, and tools to translate social work into a lived reality for individuals through their engagement with the various social and livelihood demands of life—we felt immense joy as we followed all the award’s events and competitions from their inception to the present. Through my close and diligent observation of the staff across the award’s various committees and its affiliated teams, and my proximity to the participants’ work and the audience’s engagement, moving from one achievement to another and from one creative endeavor to the next, it is evident that the primary objective for which the Al-Baghl Foundation organized these competitions and events has not only been achieved but has surpassed expectations in terms of excellence, distinction, creativity, and success, as attested by all. Participants in the various award competitions also highlighted, through their artistic creations, the foundation’s success in underscoring the importance of the award’s social and humanitarian role in raising social awareness about enhancing volunteerism and humanitarian efforts among all segments of Kuwaiti society. He further congratulated everyone on these humanitarian volunteer efforts aimed at developing this social and humanitarian work and achieving the objectives underpinning the establishment of the charitable, volunteer, and humanitarian work system in the State of Kuwait.
For his part, Mansour Al-Salamah stated that the Ibrahim Taha Al-Baghl Foundation for the Filial Son announced on June 1, 2026, the organization of the Al-Baghl Award for the Filial Son competitions as one of the foundation’s charitable, social, and awareness-raising projects, aimed at strengthening and consolidating volunteer and humanitarian work through the award’s various fields, and to achieve multiple objectives that benefit all segments of society in the State of Kuwait. Al-Salamah noted that the artistic and practical works of participants in the award competitions would be showcased in art exhibitions to be organized and opened by the Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors and the award’s patron, Ibrahim Al-Baghl. Participants were also honored and presented with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their contributions and interest in achieving the shared and desired objectives, which the foundation, charitable and civil societies, and participating teams seek to advance through promoting the virtue of filial piety and respect for the elderly in society.
