Al-Yousef: Cooperation with the private sector contributes to sports development

Yesterday, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association, signed a sponsorship agreement with IKEA Al-Humaidi, making IKEA the official sponsor of referees’ uniforms across all competitions organized by the Association until 2027. The sponsorship covers more than 905 matches during the season in various competitions organized by the Association for men’s and women’s teams across all age groups. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef emphasized that the agreement recognizes the fundamental role of referees and their contributions to the game, and reflects the importance of collaboration between the private sector and sports institutions to support the development of sports in Kuwait. For his part, Marino Maganto, CEO of IKEA Kuwait, Jordan, and Morocco, expressed his pride in the partnership, affirming that sports contribute to strengthening community bonds and reinforcing values such as teamwork, discipline, respect, and accountability.
