League Association Condemns El Clasico Behaviors

The Spanish Football League condemned, on Monday, the insults and violent behavior by fans of Barcelona and Real Madrid during Sunday’s El Clásico, including the throwing of objects at French international Eduardo Camavinga of the royal club. In its weekly report sent to the competitions committee and the anti-violence committee of the Spanish Football Federation, the league listed 17 incidents that occurred during the Clásico, which Real Madrid won 2-1 at Camp Nou in the 10th round; ten of these involved Barcelona fans and seven involved Real Madrid supporters. The body specifically highlighted an incident at the end of the match, during the celebration of Los Blancos’ second goal, when Camavinga, who had assisted his compatriot Kylian Mbappé’s goal, was targeted by thrown objects (bottles, drink cans, lighters, and an electronic cigarette). According to the report issued on Monday, a member of the “Grada Gol 1957” fan group even attempted to strike Camavinga with a flag. His identity has been established, and he will be banned from entering stadiums.
