Riyadh-Aden-Agencies: The Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen announced yesterday that it carried out a targeted operation to neutralize threat sources in response to repeated attacks by the Houthi militia. The Coalition’s official spokesperson, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated in a press release that, exercising the inherent and legitimate right to self-defense to protect the security and territorial integrity of the Kingdom and its citizens and residents, and in response to repeated attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia attempting to target civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom and Yemen using ballistic missiles and drones, the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition executed a targeted military operation aimed at neutralizing threat sources.
Al-Maliki added that the targeted operation included the destruction and neutralization of legitimate military targets in areas controlled by the terrorist Houthi militia. The operation destroyed five ballistic missile storage tunnels, four ballistic missile launch pads, and a missile depot, while focusing on cutting off the militia’s supply lines between its controlled areas. It also targeted Houthi fortifications, concentrations of its personnel and military equipment along the front lines inside Yemen.
For its part, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out 753 precise and direct targeting operations against the military capabilities of the Houthi militias over the past 24 hours as part of Operation “Fajr al-Yemen” (Yemen’s Dawn). The official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, explained in a statement that the strikes hit forward field command and control centers, governing bodies, fortifications, fire sources, militia concentrations and reinforcements, and their means of movement and supply. These actions contributed to disrupting the deployment of their forces into battle and supporting the raiding, breaching, and maneuvering operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces across various fronts.
He noted that the operations resulted in the neutralization of approximately 218 Houthi militia members and field commanders, and the destruction and damage of 78 military vehicles, equipment, and weapons, along with various heavy and medium-caliber arms.
