Indian Embassy Organizes Campaign to Enhance Environmental Awareness

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait, in collaboration with the ARMS4U Foundation, organized a tree-planting event at Al-Rawda Park as part of the “A Tree in the Name of Mother” (Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam) campaign, commemorating the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kuwait and India. The event was attended by several Kuwaiti personalities, accredited ambassadors, diplomatic corps members, as well as members of the Indian community and school students, in an initiative aimed at raising environmental awareness and fostering a culture of community engagement for a more sustainable environment. The campaign combines honoring mothers and appreciating their role with expressing gratitude to the Earth as the mother that nurtures everyone, through tree planting, contributing to environmental protection, and enhancing green urban spaces in Kuwait. The “A Tree in the Name of Mother” campaign was launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 5, 2024, coinciding with World Environment Day, and has since spread across India and several other countries, including Kuwait.
