Mariscia: We Deserved a Better Result

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca said his side deserved a better result than the 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the English Premier League on Monday. Speaking to the BBC, Maresca said: “We played well, but unfortunately we lost. I think we deserved a better result, but we have to move forward.” The Italian coach added: “We had a lot of difficulty in the first 10 to 15 minutes because the opponent played in a different way than we expected. Then we made adjustments and took control of the game.” He continued: “When we scored, we dominated the match completely and created several chances, but we failed to take them.”
