Electronic Flies
A comparison between human and electronic flies, mentioning Al-Nimrod.
Translated by Qiyas from النهار — Original source
The fly is a small insect, yet it offers a profound lesson in life. Flies do not enter a home as guests; they land only on exposed, dirty, or wounded things. If a person covers their food, treats their wounds, and cleans their home, you will not find flies. Humans and flies: some young people are like flies, seeing only your flaws, landing only on your wounds, and mentioning only your mistakes. Even if you are among the best of people, they will search for a thorn in you. The flaw lies in the eyes of some humans who see only filth. Therefore, everyone should cleanse their surroundings of bad people.
Nimrod bin Canaan was a mighty, arrogant king who claimed divinity. He was the king who debated Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) about his Lord. Historical and exegetical sources agree that God sent an army of gnats and flies against him, destroying them. One of them entered Nimrod’s nostril and settled in his head. His torment with it lasted for many years; the buzzing and pain in his head would not cease unless he struck it with sandals or hammers, until he died, persisting in his disbelief and tyranny. The manifestation of this tyranny is described in the words of Allah the Almighty: “Have you not considered the one who argued with Abraham about his Lord because Allah had given him kingship? When Abraham said, ‘My Lord is the One who gives life and causes death,’ he said, ‘I give life and cause death.’ Abraham said, ‘Indeed, Allah brings up the sun from the east, so bring it up from the west.’ Thus, the disbeliever was confounded. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.” (Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 258). Truthful is Allah the Almighty.
Electronic flies: This refers to a scattered group of people engaged in electronic work, including both professionals and followers. There are two types of electronic flies: personal and spider-like. The personal type operates alone, with goals ranging from entertainment to criminal activity, carrying legal consequences. They naturally operate under an alias, aiming to mimic certain figures and symbols for two purposes: fame and financial gain. They exert pressure on targets and fish in troubled waters, thereby damaging reputations and creating false information. Let us begin with the less dangerous type: those seeking fame. Their goals are typically mischievous and a waste of time; most are teenagers, and their greatest crime is the hobby of hacking accounts.
The second type, whose goal is financial, is often backed by political figures and major businessmen, and is naturally considered a weapon against others. In brief, this is electronic fly activity at the personal level.
Spider-like electronic flies: This type is very dangerous, as it belongs to an organized spider web network and international hackers whose function is to attack armies. Most armies now have an electronic defense department to protect the state’s assets and its military and political interests. These defenders are spread across all countries and distribute the strategic sites of the country where the individual is stationed. They also spread rumors and terror in the hearts of citizens and residents. Moreover, these gangs may create and fuel political problems between countries and friends.
Here, I advise parents to monitor their children and prevent them from engaging in this bad hobby. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, particularly the Cybercrime Department, for their work in combating this crime. Finally, we say: May God protect Kuwait and its people from all harm.
