The final round of the volleyball league, resuming from last season, kicks off today, with Kazma facing Salibikhaat at 5:00 p.m., while Al-Qadsia plays against Al-Arabi at 7:00 p.m. Both matches will be held at the Volleyball Federation Hall within the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. The First Division competitions will resume next Sunday with two matches at the Federation Hall: the first will see Al-Shabab take on Al-Sahel, while Al-Yarmouk will face Al-Nasr in the second match.
In the first match, Kazma, which delivered an outstanding performance against Al-Qadsia last Monday by securing a clean three-set victory to conclude the preliminary round, aims to continue its winning streak and claim its first final-round win as it competes for the title. For his part, Salibikhaat is determined to deliver its best performance to prove its ability to compete with the top teams.
In the second match, the clash between rivals Al-Qadsia and Al-Arabi promises to be highly competitive and thrilling, given the close level of both sides. The yellow-clad team seeks to erase the lackluster impression it made against Kazma in the previous match, while the green-clad side hopes to deliver a strong performance that guarantees victory.
As efforts continue to complete the suspended 2025-2026 season, the Competitions Committee has heightened its preparations to finalize the remaining fixtures, while simultaneously preparing for the launch of the new 2026-2027 sports season.
Competitions Committee Chairman Arif Al-Subhi affirmed that work is progressing rapidly to conclude last season’s matches and prepare adequately for the new season. He noted that all working committees are now fully ready, thanks to the support provided by the Federation’s Board of Directors.
Al-Subhi added that the committee is striving to provide all necessary requirements for the success of local competitions and to create an appropriate environment for organizing matches with exceptional standards, contributing to a strong and competitive season that compensates for the suspension period experienced during the 2025-2026 campaign, and gives clubs and players the opportunity to return to competition in the best possible manner.
