Beirut (Agencies): Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz unveiled the outlines of a new security and military doctrine being implemented by the Israeli Defense Forces in coordination with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in southern Lebanon, threatening to launch intensive and comprehensive military operations aimed at evacuating Beirut’s southern suburbs and completely destroying their infrastructure. He also warned of expanding field control to include the Nabatieh area and the vicinity of the Litani River if Hezbollah engages in any confrontation or launches an attack from Iranian territory against Israel.

In a clear statement on the X platform, Katz said that Israeli forces have managed to establish a security buffer zone within Lebanese territory, covering an area of 700 square kilometers, stretching from the coastal strip in the west to the Shqif Castle, the Ali al-Tahir heights, and the outskirts of Mount Hermon in the east. This zone is intended to secure northern towns and prevent infiltration and anti-tank rocket attacks.

He noted that this field strategy has so far led to the evacuation of approximately 200,000 residents from villages located within what is known as the “Yellow Line,” emphasizing that withdrawal from this area will only occur after Hezbollah is completely disarmed across all Lebanese territories and its threats are fully neutralized.

The statements also revealed the results of the military operation codenamed “Silver Plow,” with the Israeli military admitting to the complete destruction and demolition of more than 60 southern Lebanese villages, including around 23,000 residential homes and buildings.
