Kuwait Telecommunications Company (stc) concluded its platinum sponsorship and main participation in the “Wazifati” employment exhibition, Kuwait’s largest national job fair, alongside the “Kuwait Cybersecurity League” hackathon, reflecting its commitment to empowering youth, supporting the community, and strengthening its efforts to attract Kuwaiti talent.

The “Wazifati” exhibition was held under the patronage and attendance of Dr. Tariq Hamad Al-Jalahma, Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, and Engineer Rabab Abdullah Mazid Al-Asimi, Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, accompanied by senior officials and representatives of participating institutions, who attended the opening of the “Wazifati” exhibition. Ahmed Al-Murad, Chief Executive Officer of the Business Excellence Sector at Kuwait Telecommunications Company (stc), led the company’s delegation at the opening, joining officials on a guided tour of the exhibition, where they reviewed participating companies and opportunities available to job seekers.

Under stc’s platinum sponsorship aimed at empowering youth and developing their digital skills, the Kuwait Cybersecurity League 2026 competitions also kicked off, witnessing strong competition among Kuwaiti universities. The hackathon, a national event based on the Capture The Flag (CTF) format, brought together a select group of university students to challenge their skills in ethical hacking and digital defense.

As part of its role as a main sponsor, Kuwait Telecommunications Company (stc) supported the Kuwait Cybersecurity League, which was held on October 16 at the Grand Hyatt Kuwait Hotel. During the hackathon, participating teams worked on solving technical challenges covering website security, digital forensics, network security, and reverse engineering.

In the presence of Dr. Tariq Hamad Al-Jalahma, Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Engineer Manal Al-Mutairi, Deputy Chairman of the Communications Authority, and representatives from the National Cybersecurity Center, Kuwait Telecommunications Company (stc) presented several awards to recognize the efforts and outstanding performance of the participating teams in the hackathon. This support enabled the company to engage with young individuals developing specialized technical skills, complementing its participation in the employment exhibition.

Commenting on stc’s participation, Ahmed Al-Murad, Chief Executive Officer of the Business Excellence Sector at the company, said: “The Wazifati exhibition provides us with the opportunity to meet Kuwaiti talent directly and listen to their career aspirations regarding their future employers. The strong turnout this year highlights the importance of open communication between youth and companies, as well as their clearer understanding of the available career paths. These dialogues also help stc identify the talent and competencies we need as the company continues to grow and support Kuwait’s digital transformation.”

Al-Murad added: “Regarding our support for the third edition of the Kuwait Cybersecurity League, it allowed us to connect with young talent who are already developing specialized technical capabilities. Their performance during the hackathon demonstrated the knowledge and skills present within Kuwait’s technology community.”
