Yemeni Foreign Minister Afrah al-Zoubi rejected Iran’s offer to mediate a ceasefire in Yemen, accusing Tehran of involvement in the conflict by arming and financing the Houthi group, and describing the Iranian regime as “a party to the war against the Yemenis, not a mediator.” In a statement posted on the X platform, al-Zoubi said that Iran’s offer, conveyed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, came at a time when Tehran was supporting one side in the war. She pointed out that Iran had contributed to prolonging the conflict by arming, financing, and training the Houthis, and by supplying them with missiles, drones, and experts.
