Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef affirmed that all capabilities of the Ministry of Interior are being mobilized to ensure the success of hosting the Saudi Super Cup football matches and to provide the necessary facilities for fans, participants, and visitors to Kuwait. Speaking to KUNA after attending the signing ceremony of the government partner sponsorship agreement for the Saudi Super Cup at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, Al-Yousef stated that hosting the tournament reflects the confidence of the Saudi leadership and officials in Kuwait’s capacity to organize this sporting event, and embodies the deep fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries.
Al-Yousef welcomed his brothers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to their second home, Kuwait, as well as all fans from various countries, emphasizing that the strong fraternal bonds shared by the two nations lend special significance to this hosting, and that Kuwait is keen to provide everything necessary to ensure its success. He stressed that the safety of fans and participants is a priority throughout all stages of preparation and organization, underscoring the need for integration between security and service plans, clarity of responsibilities, and precision in implementation to guarantee the smooth conduct of the matches and efficient handling of various circumstances.
He noted that the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to ensure the success of the hosting include serving fans and all entrants to Kuwait, citing the experience of organizing the 26th Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 26), and expressed his anticipation for a distinguished organization of the tournament scheduled for December next year. Al-Yousef affirmed that Kuwait stands heart and soul alongside the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and sovereignty, stressing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
