Riyadh (Agencies): Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a call from UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, during which they discussed recent developments and their regional repercussions, as well as the efforts of both countries in response. The call also addressed the Houthi militia’s attacks on King Khalid International Airport, with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressing the UAE’s condemnation of these attacks and reaffirming his country’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures aimed at safeguarding its security and stability. Earlier, the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation had announced in a statement the suspension of operational activities at King Khalid International Airport, the Kingdom’s second-busiest airport after Jeddah, “to complete the necessary procedures to verify the safety of the airport’s facilities and their operational readiness.” Meanwhile, the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen confirmed on Monday evening that it had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis toward Riyadh. It is worth noting that the Houthi attack on King Khalid Airport late last week resulted in the deaths of 13 people.
