'Pentagon' Raises US Soldier Death Toll to 21
The U.S. Department of Defense, known as the Pentagon, acknowledged that the number of soldiers killed in the Middle East during operations directed against Iran exceeds previously reported figures, updating the official toll to include two additional deaths, bringing the total to 21. Last month, The Washington Post published a report, based on information from six U.S. officials, stating that the number of military personnel killed in those operations was higher than what the Pentagon had publicly reported in its official database, known as the Defense Casualty Analysis System.
