The Coalition: Destruction of 136 Houthi Military Targets

Capital Cities – Agencies: The coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen announced the destruction of 136 military targets in areas controlled by the Houthi terrorist militia, affirming that it is working to dismantle and destroy the Houthi ballistic missile network. (See page 12) The coalition stressed that it is providing 24-hour air support to units of the Yemeni Armed Forces, noting the execution of a wide-ranging operation targeting Houthi militia personnel and capabilities.

For its part, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the execution of more than 2,750 precise targeting operations during the past 24 hours as part of Operation Yemen Dawn, hitting fortifications and defensive positions, advanced observation and reconnaissance points, field artillery emplacements, weapons and ammunition depots, supply and logistics warehouses, Houthi military reinforcements, across various combat axes and fronts, in addition to legitimate and high-value military targets deep within areas controlled by the militia.

The official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, clarified in a statement that, according to initial field assessments, the operations resulted in neutralizing more than 1,400 Houthi militia members and destroying or damaging more than 250 combat vehicles, weapons systems, and military equipment, thereby weakening their ability to maneuver, provide support, and sustain their combat operations.

On the Bab al-Mandab front, a military source revealed that the Houthi group has planted large numbers of landmines in the area and erected concrete blocks on roads, in an attempt to hinder the movements of advancing Yemeni forces. He added that engineering units continue field clearance operations to defuse landmines and improvised explosive devices, and to secure areas and roads that have been reclaimed.

For his part, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi expressed his strong condemnation and unequivocal denunciation of the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia, which targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, resulting in several fatalities. Al-Budaiwi emphasized that the Houthi militia’s deliberate targeting of civilian airports and civilians necessitates serious international action and decisive measures to ensure their deterrence and prevent the recurrence of such attacks, which violate the most basic humanitarian principles and international covenants.
